June 2026 Employee Wellness Newsletter

As summer begins, we are excited to share the latest wellness opportunities available to employees. From wellness webinars to movement classes, this month’s offerings are open to all who are looking for ways to connect, move and/or unwind!

Salsa Dance Class (NEW!)

Dennis Goss will be teaching two 4-week salsa dance classes. Each session will cover basic musicality and partnership skills along with learning fun salsa steps. Come to one or both sessions. No partner or experience necessary. Please join us in Ives 80 from noon to 1pm on the following Tuesdays:

  • Session 1: 6/16, 6/23, 6/30, 7/7
  • Session 2: 7/21, 7/28, 8/4, 8/11

Yoga and Pilates Classes

Lunchtime yoga and pilates classes are open to all experience levels and are a great opportunity to meet employees from other units, while also taking a break to stretch and have a midday reset. Please join us in Ives 80 from 12:05 to 12:55pm on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Yoga mats are available.

Wellness Webinars

Kaiser Permanente is offering a range of wellness webinars open to all employees, regardless of your health plan. Most sessions are available on-demand for six months after the live stream, with the exception of the Calm Meditation Sessions, which are only available live.

  • Move It Mondays
    These 30-minute classes are designed to boost both your body and your mind and are available for all fitness levels. These classes will include a gentle warm-up, energizing movement, and a cool down.

  • Anti-Inflammatory Lifestyle for a Healthy Body and Brain
    Learn how nutrition and lifestyle habits can reduce inflammation, enhance overall health, and strengthen immunity. Explore practical strategies to support a healthier lifestyle for well-being.

  • Sun Safety
    Your skin is the largest organ in your body and protects you in many ways. By caring for your skin and protecting it from sun damage helps to reduce your risk of skin cancer. Join us in learning how the sun affects our skin and listen to a testimony from a skin cancer survivor.

  • Men's Health
    Preventative care includes simple but important choices every man can make for himself and his family to live a longer and healthier life. In today's webinar, you will explore what makes men’s health unique, identify strategies to maintain up to date screenings and discover self-care tools.

  • Reproductive Health for Women
    Learn about methods of contraception that are currently available and how they work, how you can choose based on long term family planning goals, preconception care and testing, and management and risks of chronic health conditions, including high BMI, with pregnancy planning.

Employee Access to the Campus Recreation Center

Employees have access to the Campus Rec Center, which offers a wide range of fitness, recreational and wellness resources that support physical and mental wellbeing. The Rec Center also provides opportunities to connect and build community outside of your work space. More information about the Rec Center’s facilities, classes, and hours of operation can be found at Campus Recreation’s Rec Portal.
