New Employees

Welcome

We are excited to have you join our team and hope you will find your experience here at Sonoma State rewarding. Whether you are a new member of our campus community or a returning one, there are a few things we hope to cover to help get you off to the right start from day one!

On your first day you will be asked to complete a new hire sign-up intended to get you set up in our system(s) as well as to provide a broad overview of our campus, our services, our community and the many perks of working in higher education. Please plan to review the pages that follow before reporting to HR on your first day and to take special note of those items flagged with *action required*, this will allow us to help make your transition as smooth as possible.

Keep in mind onboarding is a process that takes several months, so do not hesitate to contact us at hr@sonoma.edu as questions come up. We are committed to helping provide you with the tools and information you need to be successful in your new position.

New Employee Paperwork

You are required to complete new employee paperwork if you are new to Sonoma State University, your previous employment at this campus ended more than one year ago, or held a Student Assistant position.

Your First Day

The first day guidance may be impacted by COVID-19. Please work directly with your manager for current guidance, reaching out to Human Resources if you have further questions.
