Self-Care Apps

Kaiser members have access to Calm, myStrength, and Ginger at no cost by visiting kp.org/selfcareapps.

  • Calm — Designed to help lower stress, reduce anxiety, and more. You have access to more than 100 guided meditations and sleep stories to soothe you into deeper and better sleep, video lessons on mindful movement and gentle stretching and much more.
  • myStrength — a personalized program that helps you improve your awareness and change behaviors. Explore mindfulness and meditation activities, tools for setting goals and preferences, tracking current emotional states and ongoing life events, and more.
  • Ginger — 1-on-1 emotional support coaching app with self-care activities to help with many common challenges. Discuss goals, share challenges, and create an action plan with your coach.

Diabetes Prevention Program

CalPERS-benefited Kaiser members can join the Omada diabetes prevention program at no additional cost if they are at risk for type 2 diabetes and are accepted into the program. Participants will engage in interactive weekly lessons with a program that adapts to them.

Included with the program:

  • Small group of participants

Some classes may require a fee.

In these programs, learn simple activities for your daily or weekly routine that can help you keep stress in check and sleep better, boost your mood, improve eating, exercise, and social habits affected by your mental health.
  • Wellness coaching by phoneMaking healthy lifestyle changes can have big mental health benefits. A wellness coach can help you get started, overcome obstacles, and achieve your goals — including reducing stress, quitting smoking, and more.
